I'm moving to China.... not something you hear every day.

So I've been going off and on about this idea I had about moving to China for 2-5 years to learn shaolin kung fu. I've finally decided to go through with it after this semester of college. My friends think I'm fucking nuts, and they are probably right. When I come back I'm going to be disciplined, I will be near fearless and be ready to shift back into U.S. society a better man.

That's the academy I'm going to move to. Check it out, I'll be moving mid January, I'll be training and working out until that day to prepare myself.

High five! Now that takes some balls.

It's not going to be easy that's for sure. But as determined as you are, you probably just don't care since you will go all the way. Good luck!

That's really great and I wish you the best of luck and care while you're there.
Just out of interest and if you don't mind telling me, how much is this likely to cost? Is it expensive?

Reply to This

It only costs 5,000 usd for the full year, that includes room, food, training, and gear. It actually costs less to train in China than it costs to live in California.

That isn't bad at all! Have a great time!

Brilliant!
I think its a great thing to do, i once read about a guy from Britain that was a trouble maker and his parents sent him to live with the shaolin monks for a month and he ended up staying indefinatley and is now a fully fledged shaolin monk, think he is the only westerner that performs with the shoalin monks, which is a great honour.
But it shows how much these people can teach you if this guy went their because he was getting into trouble with the police and came back to visit his parents a number of years later a completley different person.

You know... I could always use somebody from Ipower to journey with me... Come on, who wants to learn some Kung Fu with Ol Borgie?
It would take "monk mode" to a whole new level...

No no, I don't mean to say that the federal reserve owns the US. I'm simply saying that the federal reserve has too much power over our economy I believe. Therefore that directly effects both China and Japan's economies. While the minuscule amount...
