Tom Selleck.

Why? Because even though chicks fawn over him even today at his ripe old age, he still manages to have never been a pretty-boy. Dude remains a dude's dude who any guy can identify with, in the parts he plays, ya know?

Ideal mom? I don't know, I'd have to think about that one since the mom I have is pretty awesome. Might pick a celebrity who has played roles similar to my mom, actually, but would still have to think that one over. She probably wouldn't mind Tom Selleck being my dad either.


Fun fact: I came up with this question just now while watching Three Men and a Baby for the first time in literally decades.

UPDATE: It's gonna be tough for all us guys picking an ideal mom, as no doubt we've all fantasized about most attractive actresses at some point in time, haven't we?
