Awesome Daniel. But I think that you could make an argument that we only perceived the goal being made and did not have any concrete verification that it went in.

I don't suppose any of you know any good documentaries or places to read up on philosophy? I'd look some up but some of you seem knowledgeable and may know some good resources already :)

thanks in advance :)

Evolution, and life itself is an incredibly impressive construction, Mr. Lagerkvist.
One may be a philosopher simply by giving this a moment's thought.
christfag Comment by christfag on May 5, 2009 at 8:53pm
I'm familiar with a few introductory texts in Philosophy (mainly in the Helena-Greek tradition) as i find the subject fascinating for a hobby, but I'm no expert.

That's why I've joined this group; in order to expand my horizons by hearing from people who really devote a lot of time to the subject and what fascinates them.

Just for the record;
1. Socrates lived it, but I reckon Plato romanticised him a bit.
2. Machiavelli was an obsequious little runt who spent his career kissing butts.
3. Kant is handy for having beside the bed - as I'm an insomniac and the guy sends me to sleep :3
4. I still haven't really got around to checking out Hume as there aren't enough hours in the day.

I'm happy to be corrected on any of these opinions, although it would take a lot of work to change my mind on point # 2

This sounds and seams like the best group of all the I-power monkey fantastic groups in the realm of I.

And a big and interesting topic- Because when you think of it, or when you think when you think of it, the mind is a really impressive construction. Its mind boggling, to say the least, the power the mind has over itself.

Good stuff.
