Slower.

Red ring of death.

Crappy exclusives.

Retarded controller layout.

Has about the same amount of games as the PS3.

Has comparable voice quality (I'm a Hollywood-trained audio engineer, sound quality in dialog doesn't have to be fancy for communication to be understood and even then this has more to do with the shitty headset you bought for your PS3).

Fit half as much data on each disk as the BluRay.

Can't play BluRay movies.

Have to pay monthly for internet.

Anybody know which console I'm talking about here?

I have a PS3 and a Xbox and i think that the Xbox is better because there are a lot more games to choose from, you can always rely on good voice quality for talking to you're friends rather than a white noise -.- It doesn't help when you're playing a team game when you can't even talk to people. 3/5 ps3 =(( ( I'm not saying that xbox is the best...it's just better :)

Last year I had a bit of cash and I'd had a lot of love for the Playstation in both it's first couple of incarnations - so I got me a 40gb PS3.

I thought I was being pretty smart, I'd checked out the specs and knew it had a few differences from the original 60 like 2usbs instead of 4 etc.

Thing is, I didn't realise the backward compatibility had been lost until later, even though on the day I bought it - I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE GUYS IN THE SHOP IF IT WAS STILL THERE AND THEY SAID YES!!!

But you know what it's like, you get that baby home and you immediately fall in love with it, so I couldn't take her back - even if she's the retarded child that Sony dropped on it's head.

So yeah, I got me a 40gb PS3 and she's beautiful - (I also got her for about $200 US cheaper than the rrp).

2008 is the year of PS3. Just watch! It will dominate everything in sales (the games are going to be unmatched, especially the X-console ones. Since, the PS3 version is always better)

>ENEMY TERRITORY: QUAKE WARS<<br />
Info
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in an online strategic shooter. Players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either the EDF (Earth Defense Force -- humans) or the barbaric alien Strogg armies. Troops use 40+ conventional and futuristic vehicles, deployable structures, and defense systems like quad-bikes, tanks, and alien walkers for epic ground assaults; or helicopters and anti-gravity ships to lend firepower from the air. Throughout each battle, teams establish bases, deploy defense structures, artillery, radar, and advanced forward-command systems into enemy territory while constructing and demolishing obstacles to speed progress and gain a tactical advantage over the enemy.

BioShock is coming to PS3!
The rumours are true: critically acclaimed Take-Two shooter BioShock is finally, definitely coming to PlayStation 3.

Details are thin on the ground at the moment (i.e. there are none), but the next issue of UK PlayStation mag PSM3 - which is on UK newsstands June 5 - promises a lengthy preview of the PS3 version along with a depth charge of screenshots.

The highly lauded shooter was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive, but rumours of a PS3 version have been surfacing even before its release.

We called Take-Two's UK office who would only give us a flat "no comment". That being the case, expect an official announcement somewhere down the line.

There's another European mag that's touting the game in its upcoming issue too. We're beginning to see a pattern emerging here...

We've no idea what, if anything, the PS3 version will get in the way of extra content. The only extra stuff 360 and PC versions got post-release were new plasmids. But frankly we had such a bloody good time exploring Rapture on PC and 360 that we're well up for another dive on PS3.
