About Me:

My name is Dave, an 18 year old from the North-West of England. I have recently left college, and hope to start University later this year. My passion is Media, and I'd like this to be where my career eventually lies.

Favorite music:

I am a fan of a broad range of music, from Pop to Rock. I am influenced greatly by British artists such as John Lennon and Gary Barlow to artists from elsewhere, like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. Music is another of my passions. I love to sing, although I'm not the greatest. I hope to one day master the piano. My favourite artists/bands at the moment include Take That, Oasis, Sting, Kings of Leon, Mark Owen and The Script.

Favorite movies:

I'm very open-minded when it comes to movies and will most likely welcome any genre. From action films such as Die Hard, to Sci-fi classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, I'm a fan of many different types of films, admiring the work of Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg and great actors such as Alan Rickman, Samuel L Jackson, Sigourney Weaver and Julie Walters.

Favorite books:

I'm making an effort to read more. I read a lot as a child and in recent years, have cut down to autobiographies of people in the fields of my interests, such as David Beckham, Eric Bischoff, Richard Fliehr and Gordon Ramsay.

Goals/Projects/Aspirations:

I want to defy the odds and leave my working-class background behind one day. I am by no means embarrassed of where I am from. The great songwriter, Gary Barlow wrote in 1995, "Never forget where you came here from" and I plan on living by that. I am the first in my immediate family to hope to begin University in September; something which I hope to do to make myself and my family proud. I hope to move on to bigger things, move away from this small industrial former-mining town, to the city, and one day to what I believe is my spiritual home, the United States. I want to be able to provide for my family, not simply be comfortable. I aim high, and aim to make my family proud, with one man in particular; the greatest person I have ever met, my grandfather; Barrie Cooper-Bromilow (1927-1999)
