Hi Elias,

Thank you for posting your thoughts and opinions in the "Picking up and Acting Out" thread. I completely agree with you regarding categorizations / generalizations, and I am just happy to see that there is still some sanity in the world with respect to humanity and the relationships between human beings.

That "snobism," in whatever sense you mean it, is a failing of ours when we stoop to it, when we start to attack character instead of ignoring destructive or irrelevant replies. By "anti-intellectual," I'm just talking about the replies that state opinions as if they were facts, and seek to put down any kind of constructive debate. Kimo's contributions here are much like Sarah's, and it wasn't until a few days ago that I think the "trend" caught up with him and he took out his frustration. That may or may not be what you're referring to, but it's one of the main reasons this is a problem. I don't want to see people like Kimo and Sarah stop posting on here because they're no longer getting any constructive responses, and are frustrated by the rest of the community because it's no longer challenging or engaging. The only way to avoid this effectively and bring in more people who will be engaged and excited by this place, is by persuading the ipower crew to continue doing ipower clips on YouTube, rather than releasing waves of sex appeal.

I read what you wrote on Sarah's blog. I only have a second to reply, but I wanted to say, Elias, you're right about what's going on here. Kimo, Dylan, and I had a long discussion about this last night on Skype, about how I-Power's membership is pulling away or trending away from the sort of basic, important topics that Sarah brings up. There's definitely a frustration with all the propaganda and anti-intellectual nonsense. We're aiming to do something about that.

Looks like it's time for you guys to build a bonfire and get the beer and blankets out. Haha! Or maybe that's just what we'd do in Germany. Yeah man, any Lebanese guy who appreciates Monty Python gets my vote. Respect.

Nick speaks the truth. If it bothers you so much then dont go near anywhere that celebrates it. I'm not gunna go to the middle east because I can't stand their backward ass culture, I'm not gunna sit and bitch and whine about their backwardassness…
