Come join this new Group: WISDOM Ok OK I know you want Wisdom! But the very word itself brings out the rebel in you!
So I want all to put in wisdom as they perceive it to be. Now we have history and
social mores and religion and lots of culture (such as art, poetry, prose, movies) that
in a way nibble at sending you information that may transmit some wisdom. But
questions remain. Such as....
- What the heck is wisdom?
- Why is wisdom so revered anyway?
- Who decides that it truly IS wisdom?
- Is all wisdom good?
- How will it help YOU, in particular?
- Is wisdom just another attempt to control you?
- Does wisdom really persevere through the generations?
- Must wisdom be relearned over and over by each generation?
- What are some excellent examples of wisdom?
- Do I get wisdom from genes or do I only learn it the “hard” way?
- By seeking wisdom, will I be a better person, parent, contributor to society? I can't possibly answer all these questions at once. However together maybe we can.
And hopefully we will distill some wisdom that we have observed, learned, or
even created, into one fabulous list that will help ALL US WONDERFUL I POWER citizens!
Ok I will kick off this fabulous new group, with a definition of wisdom from the online dictionary, located at http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Wisdom:

I suggest we establish some goals for us initially. Maybe we seek to distill wisdom here, over time, for our mutual benefit!? Sort of like a list, you know? Perhaps we can context the wisdom “basic unit of knowledge” in one or two sentences, and later categorize it.
