Interesting experiment. Don't forget there are some basic statistic you can't neglect here. 1) Probably over 95% of the people going to a bach concert like classical music, or like bach, otherwise you wouldn't pay 100$ 2) What % of people going tr…

Reality is that nature is more responsible for global warming and pollution than man. Not that we don't make an over abundance. Getting pissed off and threatening consequences is not what I consider to be the power of this site. Being more positive…

It's already obvious, just look at all the polution and ugly shit that we create because we want to either make money or not waste as much as possible, tbh the streets outside my apartment are dirty, full of dust and trash on the sidewalk (there ar…

This could tell us to take a moment and look around from time to time, to find beauty in the most unexpected places!

I'm thinking that people don't give him much attention because it is a morning where they are tired, and when people are tired they tend to reply heavily on routine (not that they don't when they're awake). Most people's lives are so set in the same…

I think the goal of this experiment was to look at how we perceive beauty, and how do our surroundings affect that perception. It seems from this study, that they have a profound affect on our ability to recognize the beauty of music, and to subseq…

I already knew this story. I was very surprised when I first came across it but it's true..and it's sad. However I wouldn't blame people for it. After all, who would blame a person whose life is filled with problems that can have serious consequence…

Often people don't have time to stop and listen. People often separate and schedule time they are busy, doing something, going somewhere to free time where they can be relaxed and spontaneous. Being in a metro station, it would more likely be the fo…

About Me:
When I see an "about me" section I always want to simply put this as it (for me) speaks much truth in few words:

Friend, do not concern yourself with who I am; you will never know. I do not want you to accept anything I say. I do not want anything from any of you; I do not desire popularity; I do not want your flattery, your following. Because I am in love with life, I do not want anything. These questions are not of very great importance; what is of importance is the fact that you obey and allow your judgement to be perverted by authority. Your judgement, your mind, your affection, your life are being perverted by things which have no value, and herein lies sorrow.

J. Krishnamurti
Early Talks, 1930
Favorite music:
The list is long and ever changing, I used to love hip-hop and rap until I started to truly listen. So I am more selective with my hip hop now. I am open to all kinds of music, especially if the lyrics or ambience resonates.
Favorite movies:
Ah I hate this question as the list is long and I always leave out a film that deserves a mention. So this list will likely shift and change with time.

Here it goes (In no particular order).

Film
-------------------------------------
Network (1976)
Ripple Effect
Crash
American Beauty
Elegy
Donnie Darko
Lost Highway
Lost in Translation
The Man Who Wasn't There
Pan's Labyrinth
Waking Life
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
The Peaceful Warrior
Soylent Green

Documentary:
-------------------------------------
Zeitgeist: The Movie
Zeitgeist: Addendum
The Century Of The Self - (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8953172273825999151)

(There's many more I will add as I remember)
Favorite books:
Reading books is something I have never really done, so at the age of 28 I am trying to correct this, this is a list that will grow.

Geoff Thompson: The Beginners Guide to Darkness (Simply amazing and sparked much growth)

J Krishnamurti: As I Am (currently reading)
Goals/Projects/Aspirations:
This is something that is ever changing and progressing as I to progress through life.

I see that the world is in a state of needless pain, this pain exists in us all. It is manifest through almost all we consider to be normal or part of everyday life. If I would have one aspiration it would be to help others with this pain, to help provide and contribute to a platform where people can express and discuss matters commonly frowned upon or they feel strongly about.

Its through communication and action we solve many things, I am happy and proud to be apart (all be it a new edition) of Ipower and this brings me nicely into my projects. I am currently in the process of starting blogs and creating my own website to allow people to do the things I have mentioned above. When it is live you will know about it and more what it stands for.

Until then
Peace and Unity

A worthwhile listen/watch

I don’t what my profile page to seem like a Krishnamurti Montage, however I am currently reading one of his books and regardless of the speaker I believe this to be some great content. I also find it very interesting that the subjects raised in the video are still current today even though it was made in 1966.

Your reality is a Car Window Screen

I thought of an analogy the other day that I thought I would share....

“Your reality is a Car Window Screen”

What?! I hear you say, well bear with me and I will attempt to explain.

It’s become apparent to me that we make change difficult; it doesn’t matter if the change is in the form of thoughts, values or more physical manifestations such as diet. We make it all difficult. It got me thinking why change is so difficult, this lead to why people think, behave and act the way they… Continue

Thank you IPower, Procrastination & Action!

So my first blog post and what should it be about? Procrastination

You see I procrastinate, it’s one of the things I am aware of that I want to change/improve. Now I am making progress and I realise it’s all too easy to get lost and negative by focusing on what I am not doing rather than focusing on what I am. It’s important for us to stop, realise and acknowledge what we are doing, sometimes we build a mountain of expectation upon ourselves and in doing so set ourselves up to fail.

I h… Continue
