Paladin added a discussion to the group Philosophers
Lycurgus was a philosopher in ancient Sparta known as the lawgiver. He was respected by all Spartans for his mind devoted to justice, and the respect he inspired from all men. He was a victim of his own popularity however, as people jealous of hi...

Not saying it isn't, but I think people spend so much time looking at others in the second person that they confuse it with looking at others in the third person.

I disagree, to often people look at other's behavior and think they are making mistakes because they assume they want the same things out of life as they do. If they took time to realize who that person was, and what they wanted out of life their...

You should check it out. Its more high fantasy, but its about a group of friends instead of a lone ranger. The Chronicles and the Legends are two of the trilogies. Its more young adult fantasy, but a big part of my childhood.

This is a group to discuss old philosophers, and the philosophies they created. Perhaps through exploring their opinions, we can better understand our own.

Official song of the fall of the Berlin wall, still a great song to ring out the end of the most dangerous confrontation of mankind. The cold war.

My vision in practice.

I am currently 8 chapters into my second book and it has started me to think more about my entire book. I think that it might be better as one big book instead of a trilogy. That might mean re writing the entire group of books when I am done with them. At first that disappointed me. I was hoping to publish it as soon as possible, but now I realize it is the best thing that could ever happen.

With taking the time to finish the entire story I want to tell I will be able to take a look at the whol… Continue

Selling my book

Well I worked my butt off and wrote my book. It took me a year but working on it on the weekends and after work I finally finished. Now I edited it and I feel like its ready to be published.

Finding someone to publish it is now my new challenge. I have read a few books on the process and I feel like I know the next step I have to take. I need to find a literary agent to represent my book to a publisher.

How I get a hold of one is proving to be a challenge. I send query letters to the agent to… Continue

I need an artist.

Hey my friend is helping me to set up a website for my book, and I need a few illustrations to put up. I know there are some creative, and talented people here on I power, so if you want to make a few web illustrations for epic fantasy I could use your help.

I finished my book.

Almost exactly a year ago I decide to put my vision of writing a book into practice.

I wrote an hour a night typing 500 words if I was lucky. I came into speed bumps of not knowing where I wanted the book to go, or finding motivation to keep working. With enough active thinking, discipline, and hardwork I kept going. I also had to make choices of writing over doing other things. My weekends were centered around trying to finish chapters I had worked on during the week in time to start a new one… Continue

character attacks

We all see blogs that make us angry, and shock us with their blatant lies and ignorance. Propaganda has been effective in spreading this kind of disinformation for years.

How often though do we see people we care about defamed and lied about on these sites? I have never seen anything on the internet that has made me as angry as this.

Sorry for a late reply regarding the second chapter.
The characters are more strong and the humor is there, i think you dont need to rework anything to be honest :)
