1) I hate excessive technology! I only work with computers as a living because it's income bracket beats the pants off of my first choice, "Professional Philosopher"
2) I love anything spiritual. Religion, mysticism, ancient history, kundalini yoga, Armageddon... If it's related to divinity, I study it.
3) I look down upon the entirety of modern civilization. If you were to ask me why, my answer would be one word.
"Hubris"
4) I have a hero complex. It's probably unhealthy. Sometimes I drive around town patrolling for crimes I can stop. No, I don't wear a cape.
5) My favorite music stopped being made around 1985. If you see me jamming to some music you can't make out while I'm driving down the road, it's probably the Thriller album or Billy Joel.
6) I overcame a fear of spiders when I was a child and awoke with 400 or so newly hatched spiderlings crawling over my body in my New York basement apartment. My concluding thought was "Hmm...It's not THAT bad"
7) I can get lost in a paper bag. I used to live across the street from my old job. I would routinely find myself lost on the wrong side of the city while trying to complete the 3 minute walk or 1 minute drive to and from the office.
8) I'm not technically a masochist, nor am I excessively violent. I just like to fight people who fight well.
9) I have a certain love for enclosed spaces. What would make a claustrophobic scream makes me giggle incessantly.
10) I have, in my entire life, only beat one real video game through. That would be "captain skyhawk" for NES. Yes, the implication is also true. I have played Final Fantasy 7 over 12 times, and yet have never defeated Sephiroth... *sighs*

That is how I sometimes begin the task of inane pleasantries.
Thank you for your comment.
Groovy.
Actually, I'm in the process of creating a flier that will supply links so that people will search the truth out for themselves if they even want to take the initiative to do so.
In Hawaii (on the Big island in particular) I really do feel as if 80% of the citizens here are absolutely clueless when it comes to politics in general. I mean, I should know cuz I was one of 'em.
But because of the blessing of not having television and computers galore (my fiance is a computer techie *smile*) we are finding out more information on our own so we can keep up on what's happening beyond the Pacific Ocean.
So yeah...I hope the locals here will make that first step of actually reading what is on the flier that I am planning on distributing beginning of next month.
I'll keep you posted!
Much Mahalo for the comment! ^_^
