I mean, really? This is a question I've been asking myself a lot lately. It's easy to say "I don't give a shit" when everyone likes you and you don't have to deal with a lot of negative feedback, criticism and insults. I've never really been thro...

Repeditive tendancies. Really anything becomes boring after awhile, even things I'm passionate about. Focusing on one activity without moderation is a sure fire way for me to end up in a bored state, even if it's a healthy activity. Need to mix it...

Nice! What kind of negative responses have you gotten? Like people acting all 'get away from me' when you try to talk to them? I can't imagine many people, in my country anyway, just going and having coffee with a stranger who wanted to talk abou...

Yes, I think that teenagers, today at least, are much much unhappier than adults. I'm not an expert in this area but from my point of view I think it's because they're given too much pressure i.e. because we're obviously living in a fast-developin...

My first kiss was my 18th birthday. My first time having sex was 3 weeks later, and I was horrible. Given time, the couple will become very comfortable with each other, this comfort allowed her to relax and enjoy herself more, allowing the man to...

I find that boredom tends to strike after a day or two of super productiveness. I've been doing lots of awesome things then BAM I run out and I'm bored! What do you find causes boredom?

Do you think it is the case that teenagers are unhappy more than adults? Yes If so, what do you think are the main causes for this and what solutions should we be considering? Puberty/the teenage years are a major period of development, one of the...

Some stuff I've done lately

Well I have done a lot of things lately that have been very good for me, my confidence and my life generally. These are all things that are related to my very laid back style of self development (it sounds good when I put it like that!). I'll try to put them in chronological order but I may not succeed!

- I joined a martial arts school and started going to classes. I've been doing this for a few months now. It's expensive, but really really worth it. For awhile I was very nervous every time I w… Continue

I don't have to get everything right!

WOW. I mean WOW. I've just had a massive realisation and it's pretty awesome so I'd like to share it with you. Basically for quite awhile now I think I've been trying to do the right thing all the time and make the right decisions every waking moment and like worried about getting stuff wrong.. And what I've now realised is that it's fine if I make mistakes because everybody does and basically my life will be okay if I do what feels right and try to make it better if I get something wrong :) Wor… Continue

Emotional Investment

Last night I laid awake all night waiting for a text from my girlfriend. This is after spending a very pleasant weekend with her, which did have its downsides but they weren't the fault of me or her so they did not worry me, and feeling closer to her than I have felt to anyone for a long time. Maybe closer than I have ever felt to anyone.

Although I won't go into details I will say the text was something I invested a lot of emotion in. It was important to me to know how she felt and what she wa… Continue

Some of my thoughts

Just going to write down some stuff that's been going through my mind recently because I find it can clarify my thoughts. I'll attempt to make it make sense to other people but i'm not promising anything so read on if you dare :P

Pleasure
A lot of self-development has to do with pleasure. Limiting it, delaying it, long-term happiness over instant gratification (quick and easy pleasure). Some of the things we associate with pleasure are things that, I think, don't actually give us… Continue

Hey Ewan
I just tried to meditate and I want to share my experience.
In the beginning, I couldn't really get a "free" head. Thoughts floated in like "how is tonight going to be" , thoughts about my ex, etc.
After that, i managed to "think" less. I started to recognize how different parts of my body aches, that my breathing was irregular/excited/unstable/stagnant.
After that I touched the tip of the iceberg... i think. (again this word...)
I felt in peace, relaxed, free and dizzy (?)
It felt a bit like as if im just about to fall asleep, but i didn't sleep. ;)
Kinda weird

I'm looking for business values that are out of the ordinary. So, instead of typical values like equality and so on, I'm trying to get a hold on a new kind of values wich are based on a "new" view of the world, younger and more critical to modern society and/or business ethics. any thoughts?

I like this quote from the recent film I saw, where do you see yourself in the next 10 years… homeless and unemployed… man the film has a childish honesty to it.
