john, I'm aware of "se," but I prefer "han" for English because it begins with "h" like "he" and "him" and "her" and "his" and "her" and "hers", and because it's three letters long and consonant-vowel-consonant like most of those words are, so it would "fit" more easily into English than "se." and i advise dropping the double dots over the "a" in the Finnish, for ease of adoption into the English. i think adding "han" would be a beautiful "Finnishing" touch to the English language from this half-Finn. :}
I also think "han" would work better because it sounds like "hand" and would subconsciously suggest that we're all like helping hands working together for all of our common good, even the "third person," "that" guy over there, han, yonder in the distance. It would translate, or rather adopt, as a term of universal siblinghood in the English, when I point that resonance out in my campaign to get "han" adopted, which campaign is only in its barest beginnings, amongst my friends, and here on I Power. It's an evolutionary linguistic change I'm working toward, one which would have peace-bestowing effects on the English-speaking world. And it would be very *very* far from the first time English has adopted a word from another language, to put it *mildly*.
hän… why not se… :\›› When we have an argue about which label to use we just use the label se… which is it or hän. (^^)— the use of finnish in english would be most certainly interesting.
Hello, I Power community! Welcome to my page! I hope for free, frank and totally open dialogue about whatever subjects you feel like talking about with me, and with each other, and I hope you'll be very civil on my page. That's a hope more than a demand, but I really appreciate civility. Freedom of speech includes the freedom for me to put in my request that my page be a respectul-of-each-other sort of page. And let that begin with me! If you ever catch me being (and it *would* be accidentally) uncivil to anyone on here, please bring it to my attention and I'll do my best to correct the situation. I may be a pretty opinionated guy about a few things, but I'm also one of the more harmless guys you're going to meet, usually.
I'm here to support my own and others' self-development/activism and to make friends and share many ideas in the process. Please welcome me, as I'm somewhat shy, though working to get over that (self-development in progress!)
